Essential Documents to Start Trading Commodities
To begin trading commodities with Omnia, the following documents and details are required. These ensure smooth communication and processing between buyers and sellers:
Letter of Intent (LOI)
When you have your target price ready or after accepting the seller's quoted price, submit an LOI containing:
- Product: Specify the commodity you wish to purchase.
- Product Specification: Include details about the quality and specifications.
- Country and Port of Destination: Mention the delivery location if it’s not Free on Board (FOB).
- Quantity: Specify the required quantity in metric tons (MT).
- Time of Contract: State the duration of the contract if it’s not a one-time (SPOT) purchase.
- Packaging: Provide details about packaging requirements (e.g., bulk or specific pack types).
- Other Mandatory Procedures: Any additional processes or requirements.
- Target or Accepted Price: Include your target price or confirm the accepted price.
- Payment Alternative: Specify payment terms (e.g., SBLC, DLC) and any other payment details.
- Other Details and Requirements: Add any additional relevant information.
- Bank Information: Provide TOP 50 bank details, including the bank name, address, account number, account holder, and bank contact.
- Date, Address, and Stamp: Include the purchasing company's official details, the director’s name, and their signature.
Irrevocable Corporate Purchase Order (ICPO)
An ICPO should include all the details required in an LOI, along with:
- Proof of Funds: Submit a document like a Ready, Willing, and Able Letter (RWA) or a Bank Comfort Letter (BCL) as evidence of your financial capacity.
